Welsh Olympic gold medallist Jade Jones has been announced as patron of Flintshire Young Ambassador programme, which was introduced as part of the 2012 Olympic legacy.

The initiative aims to develop young sports leaders and volunteers in schools across the county, by making them ambassadors for PE and school sport. As patron, the taekwondo champion will endorse and attend major events such as the 5 x 60 games, organised by the Gold Young Ambassadors.
